Kutaisi Armchair

A fully restored armchair. These were made in Kutaisi during the Soviet times. The side planks, legs and hand rests are hand carved, that’s why the pattern can differ slightly depending who made it. The armchair got completely dismantled, fixed, thoroughly cleaned of old varnish and sanded to bare wood. The frame was reinforced and all the inside was replaced. The outside got dark red velvet upholstery.  All wooden elements were stained and top-coated with water-based lacquer. This armchair will last for another several decades adding a beautiful vintage accent to any space.
